So Life Long Tragedy is playing with Ceremony and Sabertooth Zombie @ The Factory on the 19th. It's $10 at the door and doors are at 7PM. I am beyond excited about this show. No Mans Slave and Black Dog are the locals on the show.

July 18th, Ruiner and Braindead are being moved from the Factory to a new rad pizza place that is going to start letting hardcore shows happen. Sauced in the Paseo Arts District has an awesome room perfect for this show. Come and check out a few killer bands and a killer restaurant as well.

The Effort and Hostage Calm will be here on July 31st. Sauced Annex. Get pumped.

So the forums were all jacked up and I hated the way the admin section was laid out. So I changed it up. This should be the last change for a while.

There are a couple of things that we need from you as well. We NEED HELP! I need 5 or 6 reliable people who I can trust to make updates here. You will be outfitted with a login to make the updates, and some free shows, now who can argue with that?

Ruiner and Killing The Dream are coming up. Don't miss this. There is alot of new OKC family that I'd love to see out at the show. If you need a ride, look in the forums for someone that has open seats. If you can't find something there, let me know, and we will find you a ride.

It's been a while.

If you posted on the Oklahoma DIY board then you by now know that it has been taken down. So our new home is here. http://board.oklahomahardcore.com is the address for the new forums. Please register and participate.

As for show updates, there are some coming up but nothing fully confirmed just yet. Still looking for a place to do Attitude on November 14th. If you know of a place, let me know!

Some of us will be out at The Factory in Oklahoma City today. We will have flyers in hand for some of the upcoming shows in the area. Please come up and say hello. We're all looking forward to meeting you! For those of you who can't make it, here is what is going on in August so far.

I'll have some more updates in the next couple of days. There are some great shows happening in the later part of August, so keep an eye out.

Just a quick update to remind everyone of what is going on around here.

In show news:

July 9th is Ruiner, Die Young, and Hollywood. If you missed Hollywood when they were here with Counting The Days, you don't want to miss them this time. The show is at Convergence, and flyers are distributing currently.

July 18th is War Of Ages, The Horror Story (ex Bury Your Dead), and I, Sleepwalker. The show is at Fusion Affect Skate Shop in Shawnee, OK. I expect this show to be alot of fun.

July 21st is No Turning Back and Meltdown. Meltdown was just here with Blacklisted, and tore new holes in Oklahomas ass. The show is at Convergence. Be there or be stupid.

July 23rd is Cold World, and Blacklisted in Tulsa at The Pinkeye. If you don't go to this show, you are so missing out. I don't want to be the kid that misses this show.

August 3rd is About to Snap. The show will be at Convergence. Come out and show some rad dudes a good time.

August 13th is in the works but we'll leave that to surprise.

In music news:

Speak Out goes into the studio this month to record their contributions to the Up Yours/Speak Out split 7" to be released by Positive and Focused Records out of the Netherlands.

I Resign is gearing up for their tour through the midwest this summer. Dates are posted on their Myspace here.

Waldo Young has recently recorded their demo tracks. Check them out on their Myspace here.

I have no Had Enough news right now but I think you should check them out anyways.

If you have a band or just did a run of art prints and want to send us some news or photos to put up here, just email us at oklahomahc@gmail.com and get it up as soon as possible. Please, if you send us photo's of art prints, let us know a little but about them (i.e. medium, method, subject matter). We will have a submissions form put up in the next few days to streamline the process.

Just wanted to make a quick update on the state of OklahomaHardcore.com and say thank you to everyone who is helping us out with their support on Myspace.com. You can find the OklahomaHardcore.com myspace here. Keep telling your friends about us, and get them to the shows!

OklahomaHardcore.com has gone through several transformations over the last few years, and with little internal support, it has gone back under the rug whenever I would run out of time or get too busy to maintain it. I have since been lucky enough to find some friends with like hearts and minds that are now helping keep OklahomaHardcore.com alive!

Look for in the coming weeks to see reviews, new art from local artists, a community forum, and of course, the show listing.
